Twija Africa’s 6-day Namibia journey strings together three of the country’s signature landscapes into one private guided camping adventure: the wildlife-rich plains of Etosha, the desert-meets-ocean town of Swakopmund, and the towering red dunes of Sossusvlei.
The trip likely opens in Etosha National Park, home to a vast salt pan that draws elephants, lions, rhinos, giraffes, and zebras to its waterholes, especially in the dry season when game viewing is at its most concentrated. A few nights camping near the park give a private guide time to track movement and position the group at the right waterholes at the right hours.
From there the route swings toward the coast and Swakopmund, Namibia’s quirky seaside town where German colonial architecture meets Atlantic fog and dune-backed desert. It’s a change of pace from the bush: a base for adrenaline add-ons like quad biking or sandboarding on the dunes outside town, fresh seafood, and a walkable, photogenic streetscape right where the Namib Desert spills into the ocean.
The final stretch heads inland to Sossusvlei, part of the Namib-Naukluft area and home to some of the oldest and tallest dunes on Earth, including the famous climb up Dune 45 and the ghostly, sun-bleached camelthorn trees of Deadvlei standing against the orange sand. Sunrise here, when the dunes throw long shadows and the light turns deep red, is usually the trip’s signature moment.
Throughout, the trip runs as private guided camping rather than a fixed group tour or lodge-based itinerary: a dedicated guide, a small private party, and nights under canvas closer to the landscapes than a hotel circuit allows. The 6 days/6 nights pacing gives roughly two nights per region, enough to settle in without rushing between stops.
This is a general overview built from the destinations and trip type named in your document, since the site doesn’t have a public day-by-day breakdown I could pull from. If you have the actual itinerary, I can turn this into a proper day-by-day write-up or marketing copy ready to drop back into the Elementor JSON.

Adventure
Depart Windhoek early for the 4-hour drive north. As you approach Etosha, the savanna opens up, and you'll likely spot your first giraffes and springbok before even entering the park.
Afternoon: Enter Etosha via the Andersson Gate for a late-afternoon game drive. Focus on the waterholes near Okaukuejo, where rhinos often appear at dusk.
Lodging: * Luxury: Ongava Lodge (Situated on a private reserve overlooking Etosha; incredible night-time rhino sightings at their own waterhole).
Boutique: Etosha Village (Eco-friendly individual suites nestled in a mopane forest just outside the park gate).
Meals: Lunch at a local stop in Outjo; 3-course dinner at the lodge.
A full day dedicated to wildlife. Your private guide will navigate to the best waterholes based on recent sightings.
Activity: Visit the Etosha Pan, a salt crust so vast it’s visible from space. Spend the midday heat relaxing by the lodge pool before a final sunset drive.
Lodging: Same as Day 1.
Meals: Breakfast and Dinner at the lodge; a "bush picnic" lunch packed by your guide to maximize time in the park.
A long but visually stunning transition day (approx. 6–7 hours). You’ll pass through the rugged, red landscapes of Damaraland and the edge of the Skeleton Coast.
Activity: Stop at the Henties Bay shipwreck and feel the dramatic temperature drop as the desert heat meets the cold Benguela Current of the Atlantic.
Lodging: * Luxury: Strand Hotel Swakopmund (The city’s premier hotel, located right on the mole with ocean views).
Boutique: The Delight Swakopmund (A whimsical, brightly colored hotel with a superb breakfast spread).
Meals: Breakfast at the lodge; seafood dinner at The Tug or Jetty 1905 (renowned for fresh oysters and kingklip).
Swakopmund is the "Adventure Capital" of Namibia. Today focuses on the unique ecology where the dunes meet the sea.
Activity: A morning Marine Catamaran Cruise from Walvis Bay to see Cape Fur seals, dolphins, and pelicans. In the afternoon, opt for a Sandwich Harbour 4x4 Tour to see massive dunes plunging into the ocean.
Lodging: Same as Day 3.
Meals: Breakfast at the hotel; "Atlantic" lunch (often calamari and sparkling wine) served on the boat or in the dunes.
Drive south through the Kuiseb Canyon into the heart of the Namib-Naukluft National Park.
Activity: Stop at Solitaire for their famous apple pie. Reach your lodge by late afternoon to watch the dunes turn a deep crimson.
Lodging: * Luxury: &Beyond Sossusvlei Desert Lodge (Ultra-luxe glass and stone villas with retractable skylights for stargazing).
Boutique: Sossusvlei Lodge (Located right at the park entrance gate, offering "adventure" style luxury).
Meals: Breakfast in Swakopmund; sundowner snacks and a gourmet dinner at the lodge.
This is the photographic highlight of the trip.
Activity: Enter the park at sunrise. Visit Dune 45 and then continue to the 4x4-only area to reach Deadvlei. Walk among the 900-year-old skeletal camelthorn trees. Explore Sesriem Canyon before the 4.5-hour drive back to Windhoek.
Meals: A "dune breakfast" set up by your guide at the foot of the dunes; lunch en-route back to the capital.
Vehicle: For a lodge safari, you will typically travel in a luxury 4x4 Land Cruiser with air conditioning, an on-board fridge for chilled drinks, and a pop-up roof for photography.
The "Fly-In" Option: If budget allows, you can replace the Day 3 and Day 5 drives with scenic light-aircraft flights. This reduces travel time from 6 hours to 1 hour and provides breathtaking aerial views of the Forbidden Coast.
Stargazing: Namibia is a Gold-Tier International Dark Sky Reserve. Many of these lodges (especially &Beyond) have on-site telescopes and resident astronomers.
